It has been said that if Sean Hamilton passed away in a premature and tragic accident, ten bands in Calgary would hang up their guitars in solemn grief. One of the most active musicians in Alberta in the past decade, he wears his heart on his sleeve to match his scrapbook-aesthetic tattooed arms. From his early days living and loving the dirtbag folk punk lifestyle as the frontman of Jenny (Sudden Death Records) to his current vibes immersed in alt-country-tinged power pop/rock and roll — all the while keeping up as the relentless powerhouse drummer in Miesha & the Spanks and splitting his fingers open on his guitar frets ripping through Julius Sumner Miller — he’s developed his own songwriting voice on his latest, eponymous solo work.
