CHEESE WHEEL PARTY // Cheese rolling has officially hit Kensington streets! We love seeing our local businesses collaborate. Last week, @vinestylesyyc hosted an amazing event that brought together wine, cheese and art. It was a great way to celebrate local with wine from @vinestylesyyc, cheese from @peasant_cheese and artwork by @ckgyyc. Have you ever tried rolling a giant cheese wheel down the street?

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING IN KENSINGTON // Doing your holiday shopping? Kensington is full of local spots where you will be able to check everyone off your list.

Pop into our local shops and grab something special. @kensingtonkonsignment and @brooklynclothing have all the trendy pieces. @pagesbooks is full of great reads and puzzles for anyone who loves a challenge and @canary.goods has sustainable little goodies that make perfect stocking stuffers.

Make sure to grab a coffee or a snack along the way to keep you fueled while you shop!

Fun fact: In the Middle Ages, common Christmas gifts were fruits, nuts and spices, which were considered real luxuries at the time. Lucky for us, today you can find even more amazing treats and treasures right here in Kensington!

Celebrating Indigenous Arts in Kensington

Kensington is proud to host “Celebrating Indigenous Arts in Kensington,” a vibrant showcase of Indigenous arts and culture as part of Chinook Blast.

Join us on February 8, from noon to 2 p.m., for an exciting lineup of Indigenous artists and performers who will highlight traditional and contemporary expressions through art, music and storytelling. Visitors can enjoy live performances by Sorrel Rider, representing the Siksika Nation, part of the Blackfoot Confederacy, who will honour the rich history and diversity of Indigenous communities. This outdoor experience offers an opportunity to connect with culture and creativity while embracing the spirit of Calgary’s winter festival.
