The Artist: Capturing the energy and the excitement of city life, Sheila Kernan’s paintings set out to explore and emanate urban life. Her multimedia paintings are infused with vibrant color, flat shape, unusual patterns and textures. Combining imagery from many different locations and cities her work is not site specific. Rather she seeks to revisit and reinterpret experiences of urban life into bold colourful canvases, where the viewer can decide the meaning.
