WHY DID THE CHICKEN WEAR A MASK?

The giant sculpture of a chicken at the corner of Kensington Road and 14th Street N.W. is enough to put a smile on the faces of passersby on any day, but its latest accessory puts a light spin on our new reality. The bird — mascot of the Chicken On the Way restaurant situation on the corner — is now sporting a face mask. (It’s still wearing its scarf, too.)
