Weekends in Kensington Presents: Slainte Social Club

Born at the start of COVID-19, @slainte.social.club was created to provide a weekly touchpoint for Alberta
pipers and drummers. Pronounce “slawn-che”, Slainte means health in Gaelic. This was a fitting name, as
the pandemic shut down the world in March 2020, isolating musicians from the art we love. or
compose; some left the pipe band world altogether. Catch their performance outside of @trappedcalgary on Saturday, August 7 from noon – 12:30 p.m.
