The BRZ used to share office space with Norfolk Housing which provides subsidized housing in the Kensington area.
Awhile back we noticed that the area where many Norfolk residents with mobility issues would wait for a driver to pick them up had no seating. The BRZ undertook to provide seating at that location in the form of a bench that encircles the large tree.
We talked to our good friends at the City of Calgary Forestry Department and they were keen to help. Don Hay and his colleagues designed and built this beautiful round bench around this lovely tree for us at no cost to the BRZ.
